Marwan Abu-Fadel
CEO/Founder and Principal

Marwan Abu-Fadel leads a forward-thinking team dedicated to transforming government and enterprise technology through secure, mission-driven innovation. Under his leadership, Zip Zap IT has become a trusted partner to federal agencies and private organizations seeking to modernize operations, strengthen cybersecurity, and achieve measurable impact through technology.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Marwan has built and managed multiple ventures across telecommunications, network engineering, and consulting. Before founding Zip Zap IT in 1990, he launched and successfully operated El Paso Paging, Inc., an FCC-licensed paging and two-way radio carrier; The Message Center, one of the region’s earliest 24/7 call centers; and Compuserve of El Paso, among the first Internet Service Providers in Southwest Texas.

Marwan studied Computer Science at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he began his first consulting firm to help local businesses transition to computer automation in 1987. Currently, Marwan is deepening his expertise through continued education at Harvard University.

Marwan brings the same passion for innovation to his hobbies: flying airplanes, traveling, and riding motorcycles.

“I believe technology should serve people — not the other way around. Every solution we design at Zip Zap IT starts with one question: How can we make the mission stronger, safer, and smarter?”
